Skinny Person Exercise routine: Weight Gaining Methods to Grow Muscle mass

June 11, 2011 | Author: | Posted in Health and Fitness

Skinny guys often wonder about how to grow muscles. There are a lot of programs that offer weight gaining tips for skinny guys as well. However, as a skinny guy, you may be reluctant to try these plans. Perhaps you’re concerned about gaining too much fat while doing these muscle building workouts. Perhaps you doubt your ability to eat the amount of food suggested by certain of these programs. Maybe you simply do not believe that the weight gaining tips will actually work for you. Myself being quite skinny have had similar issues, which is why I created my own skinny guy workout regime.

First off, congratulations on being skinny. Usually being skinny means you have fewer health issues than somebody who weighs too much, of course this does not include those skinny people who are that way due to disorders. Gaining muscle is not more difficult, or easier, than losing weight, they both have their difficulties. In this article I will tell you about a skinny guy workout that will first bulk you up and then explain the best method to grab that new bulk and find out how to grow muscles.

No-Nonsense Muscle Building is an extremely popular skinny guy workout program. Vince Delmonte was the prototypical skinny guy, weighing in at just 150lbs and known as “Skinny Vinny.” He gained 40lbs and became a champion fitness model. His addition of mass continued until he reached 210 pounds, with only 10 percent fat content.

This is certainly a great story for skinny guys. If you visit his website you will see plenty of testimonials from other skinny fellas who have had equal success. Although his regime is popular, it may not be ideal for you, it certainly wasn’t for me. He throws a lot of diet advice at you that in my opinion is simply not accurate, although the workouts he proposes are perfect. As an example, the suggested level of caloric intake is exceedingly high, at 5,000 calories per day for a person weighing 200 pounds. You certainly add muscle, but add a lot of fat as well.

This is of course the point of the “bulk and cut” approach where you gain a lot of muscle first and cut fat later. See how you react when your clothes become tight. How will you feel about being fat for 6 months? Faced with the prospect of an expanding waist line and buying all new clothes, I just couldn’t push any further. After gaining 20 pounds, I was not more attractive, and I was quite lethargic.

Though I do believe that No-Nonsense Muscle Building includes numerous beneficial weight gaining tips, the regimen simply does not mesh with my own fitness objectives. In essence, this will help you get the big and bulky look where as I prefer the lean and muscular look. Thus, I have found success with a different type of muscle building program.

Somebody called ‘Rusty Moore’ created a regime called ‘Visual Impact Muscle Building’ With this regime you do not simply gain 50lbs before you start to gain muscle. Rather, it assists you in deliberately gaining 10 pounds of leaner muscle mass only. That amount represents the largest amount of muscle a person should add in any case, with the possible exception of beginners. 15lbs of muscle a year is above average for gym rats who pump steroids. Take it from me, if you gain 10 pounds of muscle strategically, you will appear twice as large as before, but your clothing will still fit.

This regime is created to give you the movie star look. The program isn’t designed to build massive, “puffy” muscles; it’s designed to add really defined muscles like an Abercrombie model. If you have seen the ‘Twilight’ films then imagine getting as toned as Taylor Lautner did between the first films. Visual Impact utilizes a 3 phase approach designed to increase the size of your muscles and then increase the density of your muscles. Substantial increases in caloric intake are not part of the Visual Impact system.

If you’re a skinny guy wondering how to grow muscles, my best advice is not to go overboard by recklessly eating thousands of calories over maintenance. Employ a strength building regimen to slowly and strategically gain muscle but also keep yourself from becoming uncomfortably overweight. Even though it may be tempting, don’t aim for the bodybuilder look. Take a glance at some of the most famous media figures and you are likely to notice that females tend to gravitate toward a streamlined, movie star appearance. Don’t get sucked in by muscle building workouts designed to add 50lbs rapidly, try a better skinny guy workout plan designed to add 10lbs of strategic muscle.
